Las costumbres ecuatorianas se fundamentan de acuerdo a su diversidad étnica y regional reconocido por la Asamblea Nacional. Su conocimiento se diluye en estos tiempos modernos, donde la tecnología avanza y toma el control de nuestras vidas, a pesar de esta letra muerta y de las diferentes actividades culturales y sociales donde se ponen en prácticas las diferentes formas tradicionales de convivencia montubia de la familia fluminense, su difusión es nula por los medios de comunicación sobre todo televisivo.
