Ética profesional y su impacto en el rol del personal de secretaría de las Instituciones Educativas de Babahoyo

The objective of this project is to analyze the impact of professional ethics in the role of the secretarial staff of the educational institutions of Babahoyo, since this group of professionals perform different tasks in the exercise of their work and, therefore, ethical values such as confidentiality, discretion or other aspects are key to ensure their good performance in accordance with the labor expectations of their superiors and in general to the institution to which they provide their services. In the methodology used for the development of the work, the type of descriptive, field and documentary research was applied, which allowed consolidating an efficient research process, which, in parallel with the survey technique applied for data collection, it was possible to fulfill the correct analysis of information collected from direct sources and to have reliable results to make the final deductions of the project. The results of the research showed that in educational institutions, internal problems in the secretariat are generally linked to the abundance of information handled in the area and the level of confidentiality that exists for certain documents and reports. In conclusion, it can be said that professional ethics have a high impact on the role of secretarial staff working in educational institutions, due to the many actors that are part of that community and the amount of information that is handled in the daily workday.
