Calidad de los cuidados de enfermería y su relación con la prevención de pie diabético en adultos mayores, Hospital Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social, Babahoyo, octubre 2018 – abril 2019

The research on "The quality of nursing care and its relation to the prevention of diabetic foot in older adults Hospital Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social Babahoyo, October 2017- April 2019". The study conducted in this research project whose main objective was, what is the quality of nursing care and its relationship with the prevention of diabetic foot in older adults, Hospital Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social Babahoyo October 2018 - April 2019. In this in this study, the 75 elderly patients affected with diabetic foot who attend this health institution were studied. The methodology used in this research work is descriptive, it will recognize the area that will allow us to have access to research, it will help us to establish the main characteristics of the phenomenon in analysis that affects the development of diabetic foot. Among the most important results is that 67% are not aware of how to prevent diabetes, of which 80% of older adults are uninformed about the complications that lead to this pathology, it is also reflected that in training there is 79% do not attend talks. It was found that older adults with diabetes mellitus problems are not aware of how to prevent complications of it but still do not show disinterest in not going to medical checkpoints on the contrary are very punctual in their care, controls and nutrition.
