| Izvleček: | To carry out this research, it was based on the replacement of a nutrient of energy origin, broken rice (oryza sativa) with corn (zea mays) in the feeding of pigs in the growth and fattening stage. For the research, an experimental group of ten pigs was used, where they are divided into five groups assigned to each treatment, the first group was assigned as a control treatment where it only received a diet based on balanced feed and water, entering the experiment with an average weight of 26 kg and finishing it with an average weight of 58.5 kg, having a profitability of 0.3 cents of each investment dollar; The second group was assigned a diet based on the inclusion of 25% broken rice, 75% corn and water; entering the experiment with an average weight of 30.5kg and ending it with a weight of 68.5, generating a profitability of 0.7 cents; The third group was assigned a diet based on 50% broken rice, 50% corn and water; entering the research with an average weight of 34.5 kg and ending it with 70.5 kg, generating a profit of 0.15 cents; The fourth group was assigned a diet based on 75% broken rice, 25% corn and water and finally the fifth group was assigned a diet based on 100% broken rice plus water; These last two treatments obtained negative values, regarding the benefit/cost analysis. A completely randomized design was used, all the variables to be evaluated were recorded week by week for two months, since this research focuses on the use of these energy nutrients in the growth and fattening stage in pigs; For the management of the test, the pigs were fed twice a day and had the availability to drink water freely. Regarding the fulfillment of the general objective, it was observed that in the substitution of broken rice for corn, the greater the inclusion of rice, the lower the profitability of the research. |
