Shrnutí:The following case study deals with a 37-year-old male patient who comes to the hospital after a gas explosion at his workplace, arrives with 2nd and 3rd degree burns of body surface, from face to feet, face 4%, chest and abdomen 18%, upper extremities in anterior face 4%, lower extremities 8%. The patient underwent a nutritional assessment where we found a BMI (Body Mass Index) that resulted in Obesity. We proceeded to review his biochemical tests, where we found that the patient had iron deficiency anemia. The patient was prescribed a hypercaloric and hyperproteic diet with the objective of eliminating the iron deficiency anemia and helping to quickly restore his muscle mass and tissues through adequate nutrition according to his needs due to his burns and respectively to control his weight. We proceeded to carry out his diet plan and to work together with the specialized doctors, in addition to giving the patient his personalized diet during his hospital stay and to maintain it outside the hospital. After the respective follow-up, tests were performed again and the anemia was successfully treated and the patient has a normal BMI.
