| Zusammenfassung: | Type II diabetes mellitus is a chronic condition in which the body does not produce or is resistant to insulin, it establishes the most common metabolic pathology in pregnancy in addition to increasing the risk of having pre-eclampsia which is determined by the elevation of the Blood pressure, one or more signs of severity, and target organ damage are the common cause of maternal-fetal complications. Hypertensive disorders, diabetes and pregnancy can damage the well-being of the mother and the fetus in some cases of death, so it is important to carry out prenatal controls to determine the risk factors associated with pregnancy in order to reduce the rate of maternal perinatal morbidity and mortality caused by these pathologies in addition to providing timely diagnosis and treatment. The present clinical case is based on a 38-year-old multiparous patient with a 36.2-week gestation pregnancy with a history of type II diabetes mellitus diagnosed 8 years ago who went to the emergency room at the Alfredo Noboa Montenegro Hospital, then a respective evaluation was carried out and preeclampsia was diagnosed. with signs of severity. |
