| الملخص: | In order to read properly, we need the help of specific mechanisms and non-specific mechanisms, which form a conglomerate of factors, many of which are shared with oral language and are gradually developed with practice and dedication. Failures in Reading Comprehension can occur due to an inadequate functioning of any of these mechanisms, but, most often they are caused by a set of them, since they are closely related and clear overlaps occur. Deficiencies in the decoding can be evidenced, students who, even having an adequate verbal comprehension, in the oral plane, fail in the reading comprehension because their reading "mechanics" has not reached the level of efficiency and automation necessary. For the execution of the present investigation explorative and descriptive research was used, for the analysis of the data and their exposition and their comprehension, also, the documentary and field modality was applied, when gathering scientific theoretical information to support the research and the collection of field information through observation sheets, surveys and interviews. As a result of this research it was evidenced that the motivation affects the academic performance of the students, therefore it has been detected that very little incentive is given to reading to the students, before this situation the Reading Festivals were proposed as a motivational strategy to improve the academic performance of sixth grade students. |
