| Riassunto: | The present curricular research work emphasized sleep disorders, which represents a problem in nursing interns, causing changes in the way they sleep. A sleep disorder can affect overall health, safety, and quality of life. Lack of sleep can affect your ability to carry out daily activities and increase the risk of other health problems. This study aims to determine the prevalence of sleep disorders in the academic performance of Nursing interns at the Technical University. from Babahoyo, cohort September 2023 - August 2024, for which a type of descriptive research was applied, with a documentary and field modality, with an inductive-deductive method to a specific population in all teachers who are in number of 4 and of all boarding students in a total of 82, the sample being the same because it was considered a small population, to whom interviews and surveys were applied, obtaining as results that the prevalence of the sleep disorder can vary depending on the type of disorder and the population studied, which in this case mostly ranges from 19 to 30 years old, some approximate prevalence of sleep disorders: Insomnia, excessive daytime sleepiness, changes in appetite and weight, irritable or anxious moods, narcolepsy, sleep disorder related to overwork, anxiety, depression, stress and emotional disturbances, to which the general population is exposed, which affects participation in their classes and academic performance. |
