Özet:Twin pregnancy is defined as the gestation of two fetuses inside the mother's uterus, an incidence of 1 double pregnancy is estimated for every 80 confirmed pregnancies. It represents a great challenge for professionals in the gynecological-obstetric area because it requires complex prenatal care and can have several repercussions such as the death of one of the fetuses, according to the characteristics, it can be called "papyraceous fetus"; this term is used to describe a mummified and flattened fetus that usually goes unnoticed until birth, with an incidence of 2.3% and is diagnosed by ultrasonography. In the present patient clinical case, the procedure applied to a 19-year-old woman referred with an ultrasound diagnosis of stillbirth and with cervical modifications due to labor at term, with no relevant history, is described. the gynecologist on duty requests admission to the delivery room, prescribing antibiotic therapy and preparing the patient for vaginal delivery. which would bring serious consequences that if not treated efficiently and on time, could even lead to maternal death.
