The present clinical case, aims to apply nursing care to obtain immediate recovery and avoid the risks of infection in the neonate who is operated on because of presenting extracranial tissue in the occipital region of the skull, due to a defect in the cranial vault. This clinical case is based on a case of encephalocele that was observed in the Roberto Gilbert Pediatric Hospital of the City of Guayaquil, during the year of rotating internship in pediatric rotation, with the application of the nursing care process, Neonato tubo adequate attention and recovery is immediate without any alteration in the skin and no cognitive alteration was observed |
