Análisis para el desarrollo de una aplicación móvil para la gestión de citas, resultados médicos y comunicación en el área de pediatría de la Clínica Germán.

This case study analyzes the development of a mobile application designed to optimize appointment management, access to medical results, and communication between parents of pediatric patients and medical staff at Clínica German. The project aims to enhance operational efficiency and the quality of medical care in the pediatric department, addressing the specific needs of its users. Functional and non-functional requirements for the application were identified and documented through interviews with parents, physicians, and administrative staff, as well as consultations with technology experts. The research included an evaluation of relevant technologies such as development frameworks (Flutter and React Native) and databases (Firebase and MySQL), considering aspects like security, scalability, and ease of integration with the clinic's existing systems. The methodological process included phases of design, development, usability and security testing, user training, and a launch plan. Tests conducted demonstrated high acceptance from end-users, with specific suggestions to improve navigation experience and data handling during periods of high demand. In conclusion, implementing the mobile application will not only contribute to optimizing administrative processes but also enhance patient experiences and strengthen the relationship between parents and medical staff in pediatric care.
