總結:The research on "Sociodemographic Characterization and its Relationship to HIV Transmission Risk in Pregnant Women Attended at Hospital General Martín Icaza", conducted between November 2023 and April 2024, focuses on understanding how the sociodemographic variables of pregnant women are related to the risk of HIV transmission. Data were collected from pregnant women attending the mentioned hospital, analyzing variables such as age, educational level, marital status, and socioeconomic status. The methodology included statistical analysis to identify significant associations. The results showed a correlation between certain sociodemographic characteristics and the incidence of HIV in pregnant women. Specifically, it was observed that certain groups of women, such as those with lower educational levels, had a higher level of misinformation about the risk of HIV transmission during pregnancy. These findings highlight the importance of considering these factors when designing public health strategies aimed at this population. It is concluded that improving access to sexual and reproductive education, as well as to health services, could reduce vulnerability to HIV in pregnant women.
