| Riassunto: | Obesity is one of the biggest problems that concerns public health since it is a non-communicable disease that triggers various diseases. In this clinical case, the clinical history of a male patient who arrives for a medical appointment with the nutritionist since he has been diagnosed with obesity is written. The general objective is to guarantee that the patient has optimal weight loss through the nutritional care process and in this way, complications related to this disease can be avoided. In the development, the nutritional assessment of the patient is carried out, using the different existing methods that are anthropometric, clinical, dietary and biochemical, thus establishing a nutritional diagnosis, for which a hypocaloric, hypofat diet was established, with high fiber content. , divided into 5 shots. Through the dietary prescription provided, where a diet of 2,000 Kcal, Hypocaloric, Hypofat, Hyperfibrous was prescribed and for this various recommendations were made, including drinking 2 liters of water and performing physical activity 30 minutes daily and the activities are of moderate intensity and finally, a desired weight loss is obtained as a result, obtaining a loss of 13 Kg, a BMI of 32 kg/m2 going from obesity grade II to obesity grade I, a waist-hip ratio of 0.92, a percentage of body fat of 36.1 %, the non-existence of biochemical alterations or other complications were also recorded. In the patient there was an excessive intake of fats and carbohydrates, which was reduced through the interventions and he had an adequate diet. The clinical case concludes with satisfactory results in that the nutritional status was improved, eating habits were modified and physical activity was encouraged, managing to prevent the patient from suffering from diseases related to the pathology he suffers from. |
