Proceso de atención de enfermería y su aplicación en el área de Triage del Hospital Básico de Playa junio a septiembre del 2019.

The quality of the Triage has described the following benefits: from the point of view of patient safety, offering an assessment upon arrival at the emergency room to objectively determine the immediate management or waiting for a shift for medical consultation; the peace of mind offered to the patient and the family to contact a representative of the health team to explain their clinical condition. Nursing care processes consist of the application of the scientific method of care, which allows nurses to provide the patient with the care they need in a structured, logical way and following a certain system. Nursing care has evolved a lot over the years and is currently based on certain very structured protocols and plans, to have a homogeneity. The health resources available are insufficient for health demand, so it is essential to immediately apply a procedure for rapid classification of patients, also known as “Triage”. It allows activating the healthcare chain in a prioritized and orderly manner and its practical application must consist of a series of simple, easy-to-remember, fast, dynamic, repetitive and continuous procedures on each of the victims. The objective is to ensure that emergency health care, despite being provided with available and undesirable resources, ensures the survival of as many victims as possible.
