In this framework, the purpose of this research is to establish the impact of educational digitalization in the development of reading habits in elementary school students of the Isidro Ayora School. The population will consist of students of the three levels mentioned above (5th, 6th and 7th EGB) together with their respective tutor teachers. For the study, a representative sample of 80 students from parallel “A” of each level and 3 mentor teachers will be chosen, who will provide information about the use of digital tools and their link with the evolution of reading habits. The study will use a combined approach, making use of both quantitative and qualitative techniques to acquire a complete picture of the effect of digitization on reading. Finally, the correct use of digital resources in the teaching process favors the strengthening of reading habits in students, fostering an increase in motivation and interest in reading. |

En el campo de la lectura, la implementación de plataformas en línea y recursos interactivos ha demostrado ser un recurso efectivo para promover el hábito de lectura en los alumnos, proporcionando experiencias más dinámicas y cautivadoras. En este marco, el propósito de esta investigación es establecer el impacto de la digitalización educativa en el desarrollo de costumbres de lectura en los alumnos de Educación Básica Elemental de la Escuela Isidro Ayora. La población se conformará por los alumnos de los tres niveles citados (5to, 6to y 7mo EGB) junto a sus respectivos profesores tutores. Para el estudio, se elegirá una muestra representativa de 80 alumnos de los paralelos "A" de cada nivel y 3 profesores mentores, quienes aportarán información acerca de la utilización de herramientas digitales y su vínculo con la evolución de costumbres de lectura. El estudio utilizará un enfoque combinado, haciendo uso de técnicas tanto cuantitativas como cualitativas para adquirir una perspectiva completa del efecto de la digitalización en la lectura.
