Medios masivos de comunicación y su papel en la construcción y destrucción de identidades culturales en los jóvenes de la Parroquia El Toquillal del Cantón La Maná, Provincia de Cotopaxi

The influence of the mass media is exorbitant, so laws have been established that regulate and are constantly monitoring and fine those media that do not comply with the statutes and violate the right to privacy, the honor of people publishing news without any foundation with the aim of selling more which have been described as sensationalist media or yellow press. Before an arduous youth in knowledge that every day is prepared intellectually and that have accessibility to any information it is necessary to explain and give how the mass media play an important role in the construction or destruction of cultural identities through the information they provide and that, when not being regulated and sanctioned by acting freely, can have dire consequences. While it is true that the media is a vehicle to be informed of what is happening in the whole world, they also need rules and limits that must be applied so that everything works in a perfect balance without harming anyone. The power of free expression to investigate, issue opinions, publish articles, conduct a television space where political, economic, social or cultural issues are addressed puts the current press in check to establish firmer laws taking care of what is published and displayed. to the viewer the importance of the construction and preservation of our cultural identity and it is everyone's responsibility to ensure its conservation, inheriting our multiculturalism to the new autonomy generation as the generation zo millennials who have adapted and adopted new ways of coexisting adsorbed by the world from technology without leaving space for the cultural enrichment that our country still has.
