Sumari:The present scientific investigation was carried out in the IESS Hospital of Babahoyo, province of Los Ríos. The objective To determine glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin and lipid profile and its incidence with metabolic behavior in patient with diabetes mellitus type 2 IESS Babahoyo hospital, period September 2017 to February 2018. Materials and methods, qualitative-quantitative study. The sample consisted of 165 adult and adult adult outpatients from the IESS - Babahoyo, and patients with a diagnosis of T2DM were selected. We evaluated the nutritional status, the values of hemoglobin glucose, fasting blood glucose, lipogram, blood pressure; we apply a survey in which we identify the sociodemographic characteristics, and socio-biological factors, level of physical activity, diagnosis, treatment and control of the disease. The data was analyzed in the Excel program. Results Age 50 to 64 years 42%; being 52% of the cases of feminine sex, with a secondary level of instruction 47% and with a percentage of free union of 59%, treatment with hypoglycemic agents 60%; 45% of the population partially complies with the treatment, 61% of the patients are sedentary do not perform physical activity, the metabolic control the AHT in 39%, nutritional status obesity 41%, central obesity 52%, glycosylated Hb 67% (Hb 7% and above) lipid profile Total cholesterol 54%; triglycerides 60%; HDL 51% and LDL 59%. Conclusions Patients have poor metabolic control, treated with hypoglycemic agents, without nutritional control.
