الملخص:The present investigation is analytical case control, because the study establishes a relationship between the two variables where the results offered by postural drainage techniques and assisted cough maneuvers through which we are guided to a possible solution aimed at describing the effectiveness of these techniques such as physiotherapeutic treatment against pneumonia. Postural drainage techniques are focused on the use of various positions that the segment that the segment to drain is placed in an elevated position so that the force of gravity favors the movement of secretions and assisted cough maneuvers whose objective is to contribute to the elimination of secretions since postural drainage is not fully effective at eliminating secretions. In order to carry out this investigation, 50 patients over 65 years of age with Babahoyo Gerontological Center pneumonia were taken between the period from May to September of 2019. All patients underwent postural drainage techniques and assisted cough maneuvers. for three weeks evaluating them through the Borg scale, analyzing the evolution of each of the patients where the results showed an efficacy of postural drainage techniques and assisted cough maneuvers in patients with pneumonia since they had a conventional treatment that went hand in hand.
