And with this result, the cephalocaudal assessment was carried out according to the functional patterns of Marjory Gordon and together with the physical examination, the nursing process was determined with the purpose of recovering the health of the adult and improving her quality of life.El presente caso clínico es sobre una paciente de sexo femenino de 53 años de edad la cual acude a la consulta del medico general del Hospital General IESS Babahoyo por presentar dolor causado por úlcera varicosa en miembro inferior izquierdo, con exsudado sin mal olor, y debido a las complicaciones se le indica a paciente que amerita hospitalización inmediata, con la cual paciente se niega a la misma. En los exámenes de laboratorio se observó que los valores eran normales, y en eco Doppler se evidenció insuficiencia venosa en el miembro inferior izquierdo.
