الملخص:This research project is established by a variety of books on the application of respiratory therapy in the treatment of diseases that affect the upper airway, the research of which has the general objective of determining the efficacy of respiratory therapy in the treatment of diseases that affect the upper airway. the upper airway in children of the seventh year of the Vicente Rocafuerte school, Virgen de Fátima-Guayas, October 2019-March 2020. In the research period, information was collected, the methods used in this project were hypothetical-deductive, quantitative-descriptive, and the type of research that was developed was descriptive, explanatory and cross-sectional study. In this research project, results were obtained that were obtained by means of instruments used in seventh-year-old children, which showed that they all had respiratory diseases that affected the upper airway between October 2019 and March 2020, in total there were 19 children suffering from the aforementioned pathologies, in a higher percentage, were presented in the male sex; the procedures and techniques that were used most frequently were; nebulizations and oxygen therapy, drugs such as dexamethasone, and sodium chloride were also used. The respiratory diseases that most frequently affected the upper airway in children were; rhinopharyngitis and pharyngotonsillitis. Through the techniques that were used, we could see that the children were benefited to be able to counteract the symptoms that afflicted them, and, nevertheless, the diseases that they presented in the upper airway could be treated, as well as optimizing the quality of life of the children.
