Beskrivelse
Summary:In this research, the relationship between spatial notions and the development of the body schema in children of sublevel I of the "Francisco Huerta Rendón" Educational Unit was explored. The main objective was to identify the level of knowledge of spatial notions in children, describe the difficulties they face in the development of the body schema and determine if there is a correlation between these two areas of development. A non-experimental descriptive-exploratory design with a mixed approach was used. For data collection, techniques such as direct observation were used through an observation sheet focused on children and a questionnaire addressed to parents and teachers, where the results revealed that a significant percentage of children have not yet fully acquired the skills related to spatial notions, so the need to include specific activities to promote this skill in the curriculum is prioritized. It was identified that difficulties in spatial notions can manifest in problems with the body schema, affecting motor coordination and interaction with the environment. The findings of this research will contribute to improving education and promoting comprehensive development in childhood, positively impacting the learning process, as well as the understanding of space and the body in children.
