הוספת תג | סיכום: | COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) is a pathology that generates a condition at the level of the bronchi, which causes them to contract, and also affects the lungs, destroying the alveoli. Because of the Epoc there is an obstruction in the air passage, therefore breathing becomes more difficult. One of the main causes of its appearance is by the consumption of cigarettes. Approximately 15% of the world's population is affected by Epoc. Among its signs and symptoms that we can find among them: chest wheezing, chronic cough, respiratory infections, cyanosis, weight loss, to name a few. Among the risk factors we find excessive consumption of tobacco, exposure to smoke, environmental pollution, etc. The diagnosis is made through pulmonary function tests, chest X-ray, arterial blood gas, laboratory analysis among others. One of the main recommendations given to COPD patients is to abandon bad health habits, such as quitting smoking, avoiding irritating substances, maintaining a good diet, etc. |
