Opis
Sažetak:The 22-year-old patient presents findings on optometric examinations that indicate convergence insufficiency. Suppression is observed in near vision, a near point of distant convergence, greater exophoria in near vision, and difficulties in accommodative flexibility. Visual acuity without correction is reduced, but improves significantly with correction. The treatment plan includes correction of refractive error and the use of prismatic lenses to stimulate convergence. In addition, a visual therapy program is proposed in four phases, focused on antisuppressive exercises, normalization of the near point of convergence, vergence flexibility training and vergence jumps. Regular follow-up and evaluation of the effectiveness of vision therapy, both in office and at home sessions, are essential to monitor the patient's progress and adjust treatment as necessary. It is expected that this comprehensive optometric intervention will help the patient improve her performance in daily activities, especially in the academic field.
