| Sumari: | CAP (community-acquired pneumonia) is an infectious process that directly affects the upper and lower respiratory tract. This pathology produces inflammation in the pulmonary parenchyma and can be caused by the bacterium Streptococcus pneumoniae. The treatment established was antimicrobial, conventional oxygen therapy and physiotherapy to improve respiratory mechanics and gas exchange. This device allows us to provide high oxygen concentrations of approximately 90% in optimal conditions, thus contributing to improve alveolar gas exchange. |
