| Résumé: | This research work was developed in the Babahoyo city and was born with the objective of analyzing the impact of digital journalism in times of pandemic and determining how it affects the community, for which a population survey was carried out, two interviews with communication professionals and later the elaboration of an analysis that demonstrates its effects. According to the research, it can be observed that digital journalism provides a range of communicational facilities to the population, since it allows to use the resources provided by the web, to amplify the information in a contiguous way. However, its appearance unleashed a series of challenges for traditional media that with the passing of time had no choice but to migrate to digital platforms to avoid its extinction. The results obtained from the current study were of great importance, not only for journalists who handle different digital media, but also for the community that is informed through said media. Offering a comprehensive look at the social damage caused by information saturation. In short, helping to raise the awareness of the local population regarding the collateral effects that said exhaustion produces. |
