Περίληψη:Acute pancreatitis is an inflammatory condition of the pancreas characterized by the presence of severe abdominal (epigastric) pain, it can also cause organ failure, systemic inflammatory response syndrome. It is considered one of the most common gastrointestinal pathologies that requires hospitalization worldwide. Its most usual etiology is due to alcohol and cholelithiasis. (Guidi, and others, 2019). The present clinical case is of a 27-year-old patient admitted to the hospital ward with DX of acute pancreatitis where she has remained in NPO for 5 days. Through anthropometric data according to his BMI, he is underweight, his biochemical values reveal hyperglycemia, leukocytosis, anemia and liver damage; in the clinical signs of it evidence jaundice in the skin and mucosa, abdominal pain in the right hypochondrium and in the epigastrium accompanied by nausea after eating copious food; his dietary data refer to present habits of drinking alcohol most days of the week. We sought to carry out a process of nutritional care, using the anthropometric, clinical, dietary and biochemical method, as an essential key to know and achieve an adequate nutritional intervention, in order to improve the patient's oral tolerance, nutritional status and signs and symptoms. presenting symptoms; thus, improving the quality of life of the patient. The nutritional intervention performed on the patient had beneficial health results, achieving each of the stated objectives.
