Data networks are increasingly useful in any institution, whether Public or Private, for the benefits it brings to our society. The internet has become a tool of utmost importance for everyone, because it allows us to communicate wirelessly from anywhere and provides substantial benefits today. These data networks have evolved over time and provide us with better and better possibilities to communicate all information at high speed of broadband, because it allows to communicate through text, voice, video, etc. In the different multimedia devices. In the Faculty of Administration, Finance and Computing, carry out a study of threats and vulnerabilities to the wireless data network because it is necessary to know the threats to which our network may be exposed and for that purpose, some tests were carried out to that network in order to take precautions to not be easy prey of any intruder who wants to steal information or disturb the proper functioning of the wireless network. This document presents real and reliable information, which could be obtained through interviews and research, in order to know the current status of the FAFI wireless network, identifying the vulnerabilities and the possible consequences that affect the network. And finally, the respective conclusions are expressed, based on the results obtained at the end of the respective investigation, and the necessary bibliographical sources that helped the resolution of this case study.
