Čoahkkáigeassu:The purpose of this research project is to determine and in turn mention specific methods and treatments for an effective physiotherapeutic approach in patients with acute Cerebrovascular Event. A cerebrovascular event (CVD) is a medical condition characterized by an interruption of blood flow to the brain, which can be attributed to a hemorrhagic cerebrovascular event or an ischemic cerebrovascular event. Particularly in adults, this disorder damages some regions of the brain, resulting in severe neuronal impairments and damage. A mixed methodological design has been used, combining quantitative (survey with multiple choice scale with one answer) and qualitative methods, with the purpose of determining the effectiveness of the physiotherapeutic approach implemented at the Hospital General Martin Icaza. The information provided through the patient surveys will guide the hospital's physiotherapy professionals to carry out individualized rehabilitation programs for recovery from CVD. The Martin Icaza Hospital study demonstrates that the physiotherapeutic approach has been effective in improving several clinical aspects of acute stroke patients. The results show a significant improvement in passive exercises performed to prevent joint stiffness in the affected extremities after two weeks of treatment. Based on the results, continuous training of physiotherapy professionals at the Martin Icaza Hospital is recommended, so that the physiotherapeutic approach for patients with cerebrovascular event will give better clinical results.
