Summary:"Study of the cultural labors of the pitahaya (Selenicereus undatus) cultivation in the Guayas area" This work tried to review how the producers of the pitahaya cultivation carry out the management of the cultural tasks of the same in order to generate an excellent production of the same. Through the study of the information collected from the multiple researches examined, it is deduced that for this product there is a commercially extensive market, due to the various nutritional benefits for health that it provides. In conclusion, we can say that in Ecuador this crop is planted in various areas and that farmers have acquired experiences based on their own means, but we lack new and better knowledge about techniques in agronomic management, as well as the opening of new export markets for this fruit. Based on these antecedents, it is suggested that producers request credit from public and private entities, in order to have another income option, also recommending experimental and scientific research through the production of this crop.
