Impacto del Agroturismo en el desarrollo económico del Cantón Ventanas

The purpose of this case study is to provide an answer based on the question: What is the impact of agrotourism on the economic development of the Ventanas Canton?, where the main objective is to analyze the impact of agrotourism on economic development with the purpose of to know the relevance that exists about this activity in the canton, through documentary and exploratory research. A qualitative approach was used through interviews conducted with the GAD of the Ventanas canton and the owner of an agrotourism farm where they made known the importance of agrotourism along with its benefits. A quantitative approach was also used, with non-probabilistic convenience sampling in the “El Cauje” facility through a Google Forms survey of 10 people to determine the level of interest they have in participating in agrotourism activities. As part of the results, it is notable that agrotourism activity plays an indispensable role in economic development. When reviewing the comparison using a versus between what was investigated in databases and what was obtained through research techniques, it was found that the delay in the execution of projects by local authorities does not allow this activity to expand in the canton, this allowed several recommendations to be made. To make improvements in the aspect of agrotourism, through the management of credits or subsidies for owners of farms or agrotourism estates, the fundamental aspects of the farms in the Ventanas area would be improved.
