| סיכום: | The objective of this study is to determine the incidence of active methods on the cognitive development of students from the "10 deNovember" and "Isidro Ayora Cueva" Educational Units of the Ventanas canton during the 2024-2025 school year. The research will be of a basic type, in order to expand theoretical knowledge about the relationship between active methods and cognitive development. A mixed approach (qualitative and quantitative) will be used to obtain a comprehensive view of the phenomenon. The level of research will be descriptive, non-experimental design, since the variables will not be altered. The sample will consist of 66 students and 2 teachers, selected in a non-random manner. For data collection, the observation sheet and interviews will be used. A bank of 13 items will be used for the observation sheet aimed at students and a set of 5 open questions for interviews with teachers. In results, it has been reflected that 42.4% where students are always actively participating in classroom activities, determined that a high level of children's involvement is reflected, while it is determined that there is a considerable level that has no participation in the areas of inclusion and motivation. In conclusion, it was identified that the methods have a significant impact on the development of weakness in the students of the two institutions analyzed, in addition, active participation, collective work and the use of didactic resources ended. |
