Sumari: | The fracture is a trauma that occurs in the bones, which affects bone continuity, there may be a partial or total break depending on the situation, in addition to triggering injuries to nearby structures, this caused by low and high energy accidents. The supracondylar fracture is located near the articular surface of the femoral condyles, seriously complicates the joint physiology of the knee: contracture at the knee level, shortening of the limb, collateral damage in its vascular and nerve region, as well as complications in the care (infection, muscle atrophy, pseudoarthrosis or post-traumatic arthrosis) and other secondary care in polytraumatized patients; open fractures, fat embolism, multiple organ failure. The objective of this clinical case is to develop the Nursing Care Process in an adolescent, diagnosed with a supracondylar fracture of the left femur, which began with a general clinical assessment, laboratory and complementary tests, with the objective of defining the functional patterns that are altered and that compromise the state of health, based on the assessment by functional patterns of Marjory Gordon. According to the needs of the patient, the taxonomies Nanda (diagnoses), Nic (Interventions), Noc (results) were used to be able to determine the nursing diagnosis and provide the interventions that the situation warrants, care that is essential, which together with medical and pharmacological treatment are favorable for recovery, evaluating the results obtained and avoiding possible complications that may occur during the patient's stay in the hospital unit. |
