Add Tag | Summary: | The presente clinical case based on 47-years-old male patient who was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus in 2009, a month ago had headaches, hot flashes and dizziness, and for this reason the patient goes to a consultation. The patient has a nutritional evaluation and his diagnosis of body mass index (BMI) is normal. In 2019 he is diagnosed with grade I hypertension. Biochemical tests are also performed where fasting blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin are high. The physical examination of the patient does not show symptoms of malnutrition, the intake of food in the patient is excessive in calories, so a low- sodium diabetic diet is performed. |
