Zusammenfassung:According to the research titled: "Vocational guidance in the choice of the university career of third-year BGU students of the Ángel Polibio Chaves Educational Unit of the city of Guaranda", where vocational guidance is based on guiding students in making decisions about their professional future since within the educational system this process is often very deficient and the student is not accompanied during the choice of a professional career that matches their interests. The main objective is to analyze vocational and professional guidance programs that allow the creation of a program for the process of choosing a university career, the sample was non-probabilistic of 69 students from the educational institution. Regarding the methodology, the type of research was descriptive, with a mixed approach and under a non-experimental design. The instruments used were a Likert scale-type questionnaire on the vocational guidance process, which was validated by specialists in the area, and a professional interests questionnaire (CIPSA). The results obtained showed that students do not recognize their abilities, interests, and skills that help them choose a professional career, however, they know the importance of receiving adequate guidance on the vocational guidance process. It was also identified that the majority Some students do not know about the different careers that exist and feel confused when it comes to making professional decisions.
