الملخص: | SUMARY The present research work was carried out in the premises of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the Technical University of Babahoyo, located at km. 7.5 of the Babahoyo-Montalvo road, between the months of March, April and May of 2019. Its objective was to compare two intervals of cuts of Saboya grass (Panicum maximum Jacq.), in its biomass yield and nutritional value. The genetic material used was unimproved Saboya grass, urea at 46% nitrogen. The treatments were the cuts at 40 and 60 days after the equalization cut. Deductive, inductive and Experimental methods were used. Analysis techniques were used to estimate the arithmetic mean, the range of variation, the standard deviation and the coefficient of variation. The variables evaluated were; yield of fresh matter (Kg / m2), percentage of dry matter (%) and nutritional value of Saboya grass at 40 and 60 days of age and cut. After analyzing the results, it was concluded that the yield of green matter was 2.8 kg / m2 at 60 days of cutting and age of Saboya grass (Panicum maximum Jacq.), While 40 days after cutting 2.03 kg was obtained. / m2. These differences are influenced by the edaphoclimatic conditions that characterize the area. The percentage of dry matter (DM) per square meter and cut was obtained at the age of 40 days with 21.45 percent DM. Forty days after the equalization cut, 14.83% crude protein was obtained with 80 kg / ha of urea, divided into two applications 0 and 20 days after the equalization cut. The percentages of minerals are influenced by the levels of fertilization applied to the soil. Key words: Savoy grass, cut, biomass, nutritional value. |
