Comportamiento agronómico de tres híbridos de tomate riñón (Lycopersicum esculentum, Mill), sobre el desarrollo y rendimiento en la zona de Babahoyo

SUMMARY The present experimental work ¨ Agronomic behavior of three hybrids of kidney tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum, Mill), on the development and performance in the Babahoyo¨ area was carried out in the Monserrate Hacienda belonging to Mr. Héctor Gavilánez Urquiza, located in the La Monserrate site, Febres Cordero parish, Babahoyo canton, province of Los Ríos with geographic coordinates 79° 18' west longitude and 01° 55' south latitude with a height of 9 masl. A completely randomized block design (D.B.C.A) was used with the Tukey multiple range test at 95 % probability to see the differences of the means with three treatments and six repetitions. The surface of the experimental unit was 6 m2 (5,00 m x 1,20 m). The number of plants per experimental unit was 16 plants transplanted at a distance of 0,60 between them. The results showed that the Hybrid Miramar recorded greater increase in plant height at 75 days with an average of 170,17 centimeters, it was reported equal treatment for the flowering days, the highest number of fruits per cluster was obtained by the Hybrid Miramar with an average of 6,96, the highest number of bunches per plant was obtained by Elpida Hybrid with an average of 4,92 bunches, followed by Hybrid Miramar with 4,69 bunches, the highest number of fruits per plant was acquired the Hybrid Miramar with an average of 19,98 fruits, the Hybrid Elpida reported an average of 117,96 days to harvest, the largest diameter of the fruit was reported by Elpida Hybrid with 6,66 centimeters, for the best average weight of the fruit acquired Elpida Hybrid with 228,21 grams, Elpida Hybrid reached the highest productivity with an average of 60 946,00 kg/Ha, reporting a profit of 0,93 cents for each dollar invested, becoming the treatment with the best agronomic response on development and performance in the Babahoyo area.
