Summary:The teacher encourages comprehensive development in children through emotions and the application of methodological strategies to achieve positive results in students and thus develop good, meaningful learning. The lack of emotional stability of infants requires mediation from both the parents at home and the teacher at school. During the stages of preadolescence, emotional instability becomes more noticeable as a consequence of physical, psychological and emotional changes, which is why the present research work called Emotional well-being and its influence on academic performance in 9th year EGB students of The general objective of the Diez de Agosto Educational Unit of Vinces is to determine the influence of emotional well-being on academic performance in 9th year EGB students of the Diez de Agosto Educational Unit of Vinces. Due to its nature, its development was based on a qualitative approach, using the bibliographic technique and a very in-depth search, the necessary information was obtained to develop the dimensions of the two research variables. In addition, the interview was applied as a research instrument. to collect relevant information based on established objectives. Two students and two teachers from the 9th year of EGB were chosen as a representative sample. Emotional well-being is the starting point that the teacher must intervene in the student and develop their emotions to strengthen academic performance.
