Περίληψη:The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of educational tourism on the Municipal Museum of the city of Babahoyo and how it contributes to local development, so a detailed analysis of the cultural and educational activities offered by the museum was carried out in order to establish to what extent these activities allow to revalue the cultural heritage of the region and strengthen the economic and social growth of Babahoyo, in addition, the profile of those who participate in educational tourism activities was studied and their perception of the cultural significance of the museum was explored, which allowed to identify that, although educational initiatives are enriching, it is essential to expand and diversify them to attract a wider audience, likewise, opportunities were detected to integrate innovative technologies that improve the visitor experience, such as audio guides and digital platforms, to improve the visitor experience and ensure greater public retention, the importance of strengthening alliances with local educational institutions to optimize educational tourism programs is highlighted, the main finding of the study highlights the potential of the Municipal Museum to become a benchmark for educational tourism in the region, promoting both cultural and economic development of the canton Babahoyo.
