Sin embargo, la sostenibilidad y competitividad de esta industria enfrentan desafíos cada vez mayores, desde fluctuaciones en los precios de los insumos y los productos finales hasta cambios en la demanda del mercado nacional e internacional. Por lo cual, el objetivo de este estudio se centra en analizar la comercialización de la producción de pollos Broilers en el contexto de la economía ecuatoriana. Por ende, en este estudio se utilizó un enfoque deductivo-descriptivo, a través de una extensa revisión de la literatura empleada en el análisis de documentos. Los resultados han determinado que el costo de producción de pollos Broilers en Ecuador es una combinación de varios factores que influyen en la rentabilidad de esta industria, los principales componentes de costo incluyen la alimentación ya que esta puede representar hasta el 70% del costo total de producción.
