| Zusammenfassung: | Teenage pregnancy can be prevented through adequate sexual education in the family, school and health facilities, avoiding unplanned pregnancies. Objective: To evaluate the knowledge of sexual education and pregnancies in adolescents aged 13-16 years at the University Hospital of Guayaquil, period May-August 2024. Methodology: The inductive-deductive method was used, non-experimental design, descriptive, field and transversal, and quantitative modality in 40 pregnant adolescents. The survey was applied as a technique with a 15-question questionnaire. Results: In sociodemographic characteristics, they were 16 years old (40.0%), secondary educational level 1st high school (30.0%) and rural residence (55.0%); They had a low level of knowledge about sexual education, they had not received sexuality education in the educational unit (52.5%), pregnancy was not possible after the first relationship (65.0%), lack of knowledge about contraceptive methods (70.0%), %). .0%) and there is no risk in sexual relations without contraceptives (30.0%); and the regular level of knowledge about the consequences of teenage pregnancy, expressed discrimination as a social consequence (32.5%) and without consequences on a physical or health level (50.0%). Conclusion: There is a low level of knowledge about sexual education and pregnancy in adolescents between 13 and 16 years old. |
