description Sheep production is considered an ancestral production and of important consideration in the development and promotion of livestock and livestock aspects in Ecuador. In this work, the benefits of obtaining by adding varied percentages of palm mud in nutritional blocks supplied to Pelibuey crossbred sheep in the growth stage were evaluated. 15 sheep were evaluated, which through the supply of this nutritional alternative will be evaluated. of variables raised such as: food consumption, weight gain, feed conversion, and the cost benefit was established for treatments determined as follows: control treatment T0 in which palm mud was not supplied. Treatment 1 with 10%, treatment 2 with 15%, treatment 3 with 20% and treatment 4 with 25% palm mud. Establishing the following results: regarding the evaluation of the control treatment, it was determined that it maintained a higher consumption established at 47.64 kg in contrast to treatment 4 with a corresponding lower consumption of 34.18 kg. Regarding the evaluation of weight gain, the sheep added with 15% palm mud had a weight of 47.88 kg compared to the treatment with 25% mud had a weight of 33.87 kg. In the study of the benefit-cost variable, it is established that by adding 15% of T2 palm mud, they presented the highest weight established in kg, obtaining a benefit-cost ratio of 1.74, in contrast to T4 and inclusion of 25% of palm mud that presented a lower weight, a lower conversion and a lower benefit cost of 1.24, therefore the administration of the nutritional blocks reflects a beneficial effect on the feeding of the sheep.
