Patient manifests an ulcer in the lower right limb due to the presence of a cut while performing his activities as a bricklayer two weeks ago without satisfactory improvement, which after a specialist review reports that there is gas gangrene, he is referred to a surgical intervention for amputation of the same. Depression and decay in a patient after amputation surgery due to serious complications is also present in all cases of this pathology. This disease is among the top 10 causes of disability in the world, decreasing productivity and human development. Therefore, it is intended to reduce human and economic costs through early diagnosis, effective control and prevention against the development of new cases of type II diabetes as far as possible. |

Therefore, it is intended to reduce human and economic costs through early diagnosis, effective control and prevention against the development of new cases of type II diabetes as far as possible.El presente caso clínico se realizó en el Hospital General IESS Babahoyo, paciente llega a Urgencias en horas de la madrugada por un cuadro de malestar general en las dos últimas semanas, refiere presentar: fatiga, dolor y entumecimiento de pie derecho de forma intermitente, se encuentra con taquicardia, está en estado febril, orientado en tiempo y espacio, saturando al 98%. Esta enfermedad se encuentra dentro de las 10 primeras causas de discapacidad en el planeta disminuyendo la productividad y el desarrollo humano. Paciente manifiesta un corte en el miembro inferior derecho que le sucedió por accidente mientras realizaba sus actividades como albañil hace dos semanas atrás sin mejoría satisfactoria, la cual tras revisión del especialista refiere que hay una gangrena gaseosa, deriva a una intervención quirúrgica para amputación del mismo.
