| Resumo: | Catastrophic noncommunicable diseases constitute a serious health problem, being considered the main cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide; They are also more prone in older adults affecting their quality of life, which is what is stipulated by the Ministry of Public Health. (Soca, Sarmiento Teruel, Mariño Soler, Llorente Columbie, Rodriguez Graña, & Peña Gonzalez, 2017). This research was structured with the objective of evaluating the quality of life of patients with non-communicable catastrophic diseases of the `` Observation Area 2 '' of the General Hospital Guasmo Sur in the first half of 2019. The method used is the analysis and synthesis It also allowed to have a clear direction of learning about the quality of care in patients with non-communicable catastrophic diseases. The results obtained showed that the non-communicable catastrophic disease with the highest prevalence is Chronic Renal Failure with 67.57%; followed by Diabetes Mellitus in 29.73% the emotional condition is apathetic in 29.73% and alert in 27.03% the quality of care provided by the nursing staff is low in 37.84; The quality of care the patient receives in the same way is low by 40.54%. In conclusion, through a physical and psychological evaluation, the influence of the quality of hospital life on optimal recovery was reflected, depending on the quality of interventions that the nursing professional performs on the patients are correct. |
