Para lo cual se analizó la importancia del podcast como herramienta de comunicación, se identificaron las principales ventajas tecnológicas y de acceso al público que tiene este sistema, para lo cual se realizó un estudio bibliográfico de la implementación de esta herramienta en otros contextos, y un estudio de campo para medir el conocimiento del tema por parte de los periodistas de la provincia de Los Ríos y su disposición a implementar el podcast en su laboral periodística.
