Summary:The present case is a 55-year-old female patient, lives in Vinces, was diagnosed 6 months ago with Arterial Hypertension, within the family pathological background, indicates that the father is hypertensive. He says that in the last days he has felt bad, sometimes he forgets to take the antihypertensive pill, has continuous headaches, back pain and very frequent muscular pains, sometimes he has had nasal bleeding; On physical examination, head and thorax without novelty, normal heartbeats, ventilated lung fields; The Nutritional Assessment was performed in which its (BMI) revealed a Grade 2 Obesity with severe cardiovascular risk; The biochemical tests reflected, hypertriglyceridemia, hypercholesterolemia, elevated LDL, and is referred to the nutritionist for intervention. A meal plan is made considering the caloric needs of the patient, the diet will be hypocaloric with characteristics, hyposodic, low in saturated fat, high in fiber, and will be divided into 4 meals a day; This is a diet that is based on frequent consumption of fruits and vegetables, complex carbohydrates, dairy and skim derivatives, lean meats without fat, preferably chicken and fish, plus physical activity will improve your blood pressure levels and lipid profile of the patient. By monitoring and monitoring, improvements are observed in the patient, their biochemical tests vary in a positive way to their health condition, their lipid profile decreased although they are still elevated more than normal.
