Streszczenie:Obesity in pregnancy is considered a public health problem since it can cause both obstetric and neonatal risks, as well as being frequently related to gestational diabetes, causing several different factors during pregnancy. The main objective is to evaluate obesity and its relationship with gestational diabetes in patients admitted to joint accommodation area 1 of the University Hospital of Guayaquil from June to October 2023. This study had a quantitative approach, an observational and analytical study through the review of visible and complete clinical histories of pregnant women diagnosed with obesity and gestational diabetes in the period from June to October 2023. It was based on knowing in depth the population studied who It was a total of 90 hospitalized patients in the period June-October 2023 and propose alternative solutions through different nursing activities that improve their quality of life. The research was staged at the Guayaquil hospital in the joint accommodation area 1 where the data collection was carried out through the review of medical records, observation of which all the necessary information for the study of this project was extracted. The flow of obese patients is a population of adolescents, in addition the theorizing of Jean Watson was applied since this model is based on person-centered care, offering humanized care to hospitalized patients.
