VPN y su impacto en la comunicación entre sucursales de la empresa AVCAMNET S.A.S de la Ciudad de Babahoyo.

The implementation of a VPN at AVCAMNET S.A.S. aims to enhance the security and efficiency of communication between its branches in Babahoyo, evaluating the impact of this technology on data protection and network performance. The main objective is to analyze the impact of the VPN on securing communication between AVCAMNET S.A.S. branches. A mixed methodology was used, collecting both qualitative and quantitative data through tools like Monitorix and Excel for monitoring and analyzing network traffic, as well as interviews with the company owner to gather information on the perception and benefits of the VPN. The results showed that the VPN implementation significantly improved information security, reducing vulnerabilities and unauthorized access. Although a decrease in network speed was observed due to encryption, connection stability and reliability remained acceptable, and the company owner reported improved operational efficiency thanks to this stability. In conclusion, the VPN significantly increased information security at AVCAMNET S.A.S., confirming the initial hypothesis. The benefits in terms of security and stability outweigh the disadvantages related to speed, and the findings are consistent with previous studies, reinforcing the validity of the obtained results.
