| description | The present investigative work on the "Risk factors for its influence and development of Type II diabetes mellitus, in adults over 65 years old, Los Vergeles sector, Babahoyo county, Los Ríos province, second semester 2017. The present study is analytical carried out in This research project whose main objective was to identify the modifiable risk factors and their influence on the development of type II diabetes mellitus, in the elderly based on the process of nursing care, promotion and health protection that will be reflected in an adequate quality of life for all users over 65 years of age who belong to the Los Vergeles sector, Cantón Babahoyo, Los Ríos Province, second semester 2017. In this work, the 50 inhabitants of the patients in the sector were studied. Only 35 patients affected by diabetes mellitus type II, the same ones who do not have adequate control for their adequate feeding n to avoid sedentary lifestyle and the risk factors of this disease. The methodology used in the work of this research is descriptive in that it will recognize the sites that will allow access to research on the main risk factors that affect the development of type II diabetes mellitus. People with diabetes in the sector the orchards, due to the lack of interest on their part, family support or economic situation do not go to the medical controls since this is an impediment to change their lifestyle and avoid the possible complications that bring this disease. In relation to the needs of the inhabitants of the sector, it is proposed to carry out health interventions for the control and prevention of the disease. |

El presente estudio es analítico realizado en este proyecto de investigación cuyo objetivo principal fue identificar los factores de riesgo modificables y su influencia en el desarrollo de la diabetes mellitus tipo II, en los adultos mayores basado en el proceso de atención de enfermería, fomento y protección de la salud que se reflejará en una adecuada calidad de vida de todos los usuarios mayores de 65 años que pertenecen al sector Los Vergeles, Cantón Babahoyo, Provincia Los Ríos, segundo semestre 2017. En este trabajo se estudiaron los 50 habitantes de los pacientes del sector de los que se eligieron a solo 35 pacientes afectado por la diabetes mellitus tipo II, los mismos que no llevan un control adecuado para su adecuada alimentación para evitar el sedentarismo y los factores de riesgo de esta enfermedad. La metodología que se utilizó en el trabajo de esta investigación es de tipo descriptivo ya que reconocerá los sitios que permitirán el acceso a la investigación de los principales factores de riesgo que inciden en el desarrollo de la diabetes mellitus tipo II, Se comprobó que muchas de las personas con diabetes en el sector los vergeles, debido a la falta de interés por parte de ellos, apoyo familiar o situación económica no acuden a los controles médicos ya que esto es un impedimento para cambiar su estilo de vida y evitar las posibles complicaciones que trae esta enfermedad.
