It is very unfortunate that many people suffer trauma and deterioration of mental health because loss of interest or pleasure, feelings of guilt or lack of self-esteem, sleep disorder or appetite, deprivation of liberty refers to the criminal ordinance that is assigned to the person who has committed a criminal action, this case study is carried out with the objective of analyzing how depression influences the mental health of a person deprived of liberty. In order to find the affectations in the emotional area, the inmates and health professionals, therapists and psychologists of the Babahoyo rehabilitation center were surveyed, serving as great support to achieve adequate rehabilitation. Because people deprived of liberty need constant support from professionals, family and friends to reintegrate them into society. |

Por supuesto que no todos son casos desesperados que los induzcan al suicidio, pero no hay nadie que escape a la regla general de que todos, en alguna oportunidad, han experimentado en mayor o menos grado de ataque depresivo. Es muy lamentable que muchas personas sufran traumas y deterioro de la salud mental porque la perdida de interés o placer, sentimientos de culpa o falta de autoestima, trastorno del sueño o del apetito, la privación de libertad hace referencia a la ordenanza penal que se asigna a la persona que ha cometido una acción delictiva, este estudio de caso se realiza con el objetivo de analizar de qué manera la depresión influye en la salud mental de una persona privada de la libertad. Para lograr encontrar las afectaciones en el área emocional se acudió a las encuestas a los internos y profesionales de la salud terapeutas y psicólogos del centro de rehabilitación de Babahoyo, sirviendo de gran apoyo para lograr una rehabilitación adecuada.
