| Crynodeb: | The present work tries to determine the way in which nursing care influences the control of malnutrition in children under five, under the guidelines of the humanistic approach, considering that this holistic model indicates that nursing care focuses on the assistance and care of one human towards another. The variables considered in the study were: nursing care (independent variable) and infant malnutrition (dependent variable). Participating in the study were 56 mothers of families of children aged between zero and five years old that attend the Nicolás Infante Díaz Health Center, an institution that is located in the parish of the same name belonging to the Quevedo canton. It corresponds to a multi-method research or mixed research (quantitative-qualitative), exploratory-descriptive methodology; non-experimental research, transeccional or transversal. Obtained the authorization of both the director and the informed consent of the mothers, the structured interview technique was used together with its survey instrument, with which the anthropometric assessment was carried out simultaneously in the area of preparation of the Health Center, afterwards visits were made domiciliary in the company of health personnel. Together with the support of the theoretical exploration of representative authors and current research, the results show that nursing care has a favorable influence on the extent to which the pertinent-timely procedure is performed (assessment-observation, diagnosis, planning, execution and evaluation). otherwise, it will become unfavorable; Chronic malnutrition is the one that predominates especially in girls of two and three years. |
